Bangkok Smart Kids consists of:

  • Bangkok Smart Kids 15/9 is a marketing name of Bangkok 15/9, attached by BLA CI Kids Rider and BLA Payor Protect Rider
  • Bangkok Smart Kids 18/12 is a marketing name of Bangkok 18/2, attached by BLA CI Kids Rider and BLA Payor Protect Rider
  • Bangkok Smart Kids 21/15 is a marketing name of Bangkok 21/15, attached by BLA CI Kids Rider and BLA Payor Protect Rider

(1) Additional Coverage Conditions:
Additional coverage for payor (BLA Payor Protect Rider) :

  • The company provides coverage for payor who is eligibal to purchase a Payor’s Benefit (PB) in a standard premium rate. The company reserves the right to consider applications under the company's underwriting criteria
Critical illness coverage for 4 diseases (BLA CI Kids Rider) :
  • The company provides coverage for the insured accepted by the company in a standard rate. The company reserves the right to consider applications under the company's underwriting criteria
(2) BLA Payor Protect Rider provides coverage for the payor in case of death or total and permanent disability (either case). The company will not charge any additional premium, and the coverage will be calculated based on the premium payment period of the life insurance policy, or the number of years until the minor child reaches the age of 21, or the number of years until the payor reaches the age of 65, starting from the effective date of coverage, whichever period is shorter.
(3) BLA CI Kids Rider provides coverage for the insured in case of a critical illness as defined by the definition in the policy. The company will not charge any additional premium, and the coverage will be calculated based on the coverage period of the life insurance policy, or the number of years until the minor child reaches the age of 21, starting from the effective date of coverage, whichever period is shorter.

  • Health check-ups are in accordance with the company's insurance underwriting criteria

  • The company will pay the benefits under Clause 3 if the injury results in death or loss of organs and eyesight within 180 days from the date of accident or the injured person requires continuous hospitalization as an in-patient and dies as a result of the injury.
  • The benefits under Clause 3 will be reduced by the amount of benefits paid under Clauses 3.2.3 and/or 3.2.4 (if any). Once the company has paid 100% of the sum assured, the coverage under Clause 3 will terminate.
  • Loss of a hand or foot means amputation from the wrist or ankle, including the complete and permanent loss of function of that organs as a result of an accident
  • Loss of eyesight means total blindness with impossibility of recovery

  • In the event that the insured does not disclose the true statement or makes a false statement, the company will void the contract within two years from the effective date of the insurance policy, or upon renewal, or upon reinstatement, or upon the date the company approves the increase of the sum assured only for the additional part. Unless the insured does not have a stake in the insured event, or the declaration of age is inaccurate that the actual age is outside the normal trade premium rate limit.
  • In the event the insured commits suicide within one year from the effective date of the insurance policy, or upon renewal, or upon reinstatement, or upon the date the company approves the increase of the sum assured only for the additional part, or if murdered by the beneficiary.

Examples of additional extra coverage exclusions

In the event of death, loss of organs or eyesight due to accident, and in the event of medical expenses due to accident, this insurance does not cover any losses or damages incurred in time or as a result of any of the following causes:

  • The acts of the insured while being under the influence of alcohol or narcotic drugs or substance up to the state of insanity or psychiatric or psychological disturbance. “While under the influence of alcohol” means the blood test shows alcohol level from 150 milligram percent and over.
  • Suicide, suicide attempt, or self-inflicted injuries
  • Back pain due to herniated disc, Spondylolisthesis, Degeneration, or Spondylosis, Spondylitis, and Spondylolysis except the Fracture or Dislocation of spine occuring due to an accident
  • Declared or undeclared war, invasion, or act of foreign enemies, civil war, revolution, rebellion, civil commotion assuming the proportions of or amounting to an uprising, riot, strike, or any event which will cause the declaration or maintenance of martial law
  • Terrorism

BLA CI Kids Rider

This rider does not cover critical illnesses which occurs directly or indirectly, wholly or partly from any of the following causes:

  • Critical illnesses or abnormalities that are confirmed by a doctor and have clear evidence of being related to a critical illness covered under this rider if they occur within 90 days of either the effective date of the rider or the date the company approves an increase in the rider's sum assured, whichever occurs later. In the case where the company approves an increase in the sum assured, the rider will not provide coverage for the portion of the increased sum assured only.
  • Suicide, or self-inflicted injuries, or an attempt to take such action
  • Inhalation, consumption, drinking, injection, or introduction of toxic substances into body in any way whether being conscious or falling under psychosis
  • The insured refuses to accept treatment, recommendations, or follow the doctor's advice
  • Medical treatment prescribed by the insured themselves, as well as medical treatment from a doctor who is the insured's father, mother, spouse, or child
  • AIDS, venereal diseases or sexual transmitted diseases

BLA Payor Protect Rider

This rider does not cover total and permanent disability from any of the following causes:

  • Suicide, suicide attempt, or self-inflicted injuries
  • Injury sustaining while the premium payor is being under the influence of alcohol or narcotic drugs or substance up to the state of insanity or psychiatric or psychological disturbance. “While under the influence of alcohol” means the blood test shows alcohol level from 150 milligram percent and over
  • Injury sustaining while the premium payor is boarding or alighting from or traveling as a passenger in an aircraft that is not licensed for carrying passengers and not operated by a commercial airline
  • Injury sustaining while the premium payor is operating or serving as a crew member in any aircraft
  • Injury sustaining while the premium payor serves in the military, police force, or volunteer and joining the war or suppression operation
  • Injury sustaining while the premium payor is committing a felony or while under arrest by or escaping arrest of authorities
